On July 17, 2023, Swiss luxury watch manufacturer IWC Schaffhausen announces the opening of its first boutique in Berlin. On this occasion, a Flying Media Lunch will take place the following day in the new boutique on Kurfürstendamm, Berlin’s famous shopping street. An exquisite buffet, an impressive boutique with high-quality luxury watches and a tour with novelties await us.

As soon as you enter the boutique, you are greeted by courteous service and invited into a pleasant atmosphere. You can no longer hear the loud traffic on the Kudamm. Instead, you dive into the elegant world of IWC Schaffhausen. A tour of the more than 200 square meters follows so that visitors can understand and enjoy the importance of Swiss watchmaking. Because the boutique not only includes the purchase of watches, but also a full experience. In separate exhibitions within the boutique premises, easy-to-understand models are used to explain the assembly sequence and how the IWC-manufactured movements work. The engineering and material competence of the brand is explained and demonstrated to us in detail. Color development is also addressed and an engineering wall depicts the complex process of ceramic production. After Battersea Power Station, Rotterdam, Sanya, Washington and Costa Mesa, this boutique concept has finally arrived in Berlin and is the sixth location. Overall, after Munich, it is the second to be located in Germany.

Between charcuterie boards and the art of watchmaking

And of course, an inviting buffet is a must for this Flying Media Lunch in the newly opened boutique. The lunch offers beautifully arranged charcuterie boards and freshly prepared coffees and drinks. In the quiet lounge area, which has been specially designed for relaxed moments, guests enjoy their tasty lunch. It is located a little apart from the many glass showcases. The classic watch families of IWC Schaffhausen are exhibited in these: from the sporty, chic Pilot’s Watches to the classic Portuguese and the simply elegant Portofino – the luxurious watch collections shine through the showcases. If you want to get to know them better and understand the art of watchmaking, you can also register for special training courses in this well thought-out boutique. There is even an extra room available for such events. Virtual factory tours are also possible.
