Jackie Chan has been in the film industry for decades. Starting from being a stuntman to finally becoming the main actor and producer, the 68-year-old man has acted.

He has now succeeded in becoming one of the iconic action stars both in Asia and in the world. But unfortunately the current era seems to have changed so that action stars like himself, Jet Li or Steven Seagal no longer appear.

Jackie Chan realized this for a long time. With a bit of emotion he explained this phenomenon where there are not too many requests for action stars anymore, no matter how good they are in martial arts.

“I’ve been trying for a long time to find the next Jackie Chan, but it’s been very difficult,” he said.

According to the star of The Police Story, currently the industry prefers actors with good looks and they don’t care whether the actor can do action scenes (even acting). As long as they have an attractive face and are quite famous, they only need to stand in a corner and watch stunt actors perform life-threatening action scenes.

Jackie Chan throws a heavy punch at today’s producers and directors.

“For all those who are good at martial arts, are there still bosses who want to find good directors and spend 50 to 60 million yuan (worth Rp. 164 billion) to make a film? They (the bosses) won’t want it,” he said with tears in his eyes.

Previously, there had also been a lot of videos showing Jackie Chan with a woman who was narrated as her daughter when watching film clips in which she starred. Many were touched by the video, especially the moment where Jackie Chan and the girl cry.

The fact is that it is a scene cut in the film Ride On which was released this year. In the film, he plays with Liu Haocun (the girl in the video) who becomes his daughter. In that scene Lao Luo (Jackie Chan) watches footage of his work as a stuntman taken from footage from his old films after a long absence in the princess’s life.

At first it was Xiao Bao (Liu Haocun) who witnessed his father’s actions, but Lao caught him. Both of them were immersed in the drama of the father-daughter relationship at that moment.
