Jacksonville’s Favorite Pizza: Final 4 Showdown for Best Pizza Championship

We are down to the final four in our search for Jacksonville’s favorite pizza. That’s few enough to go out and try one of each for yourself before choosing which move on to the final round.

Most of the race in the previous round were pretty close. Moon River Pizza won over Moon Dog Pie house with 66 percent of the votes, Carmine’s Pine House took down Tony D’s Pizza with 59 percent, Joseph’s Pizza beat Renna’s Pizza with 52 percent and Serafina’s Pizza got 57 percent in the race with V Pizza.

Voting begins today and ends at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 28. The final round voting will begin on Monday, April 1, featuring winners from the previous round.

Moon River Pizza vs. Carmine’s Pie House

Moon River Pizza: Order your pizza (by the pie or by the slice) at the counter, then have a seat and you can watch them toss the dough, ladle on the sauce and slide your pie into the oven. Their White Pizza is a perennial favorite.

Joseph’s Pizza vs. Serafina’s Pizza

Joseph’s Pizza: Joseph’s claims that its Springfield location is Jacksonville’s oldest pizzeria, operating since 1956. That location offers four specialty pizzas in five sizes, up to the enormous 16-by-16-inch Sicilian. The Beaches location offers the same, plus Margherita, gyro and Alfredo pies.
