Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Manchester United player Jadon Sancho has sparked controversy in the English media, because of his response to the decision to exclude him from the England squad.
Jadon Sancho published a picture via the “Story” feature on Instagram, in which he appears playing the “FIFA23” electronic game, in conjunction with the timing of the England-Germany match, which ended in a 3/3 positive tie, in the sixth week of the European Nations League.
Some considered that the player preferred to play “FIFA 23” instead of watching the match between his country and Germany, in response to coach Gareth Southgate’s decision to exclude him from the team’s list.
Southgate had decided not to invite Jadon Sancho to the ranks of the “Three Lions”, despite his participation in all six Manchester United matches in the English Premier League, this season, and he managed to score two goals.
Sancho’s last appearance in the England squad dates back to October 2021, specifically against Andorra, which ended with the victory of the “Three Lions” with five clean goals.
And part of the English fans believe that Jadon Sancho deserves to be with the England national team, in the World Cup finals, to be held at the end of this year.
