The city of Jakarta is gearing up for a new chapter under the leadership of Governor-elect Pramono Anung and his Deputy-elect Rano Karno. Following a decisive victory in the 2024 Jakarta election, the pair is wasting no time in formulating a concrete plan to address the city’s most pressing challenges.
“We have prepared 40 programs.If Rano karno wants to add another, please do. This is our promise during the campaign,” Pramono stated,highlighting the team’s commitment to their campaign pledges.
The 40 programs, crafted through extensive discussions and a thorough analysis of Jakarta’s needs during the campaign period, are designed to be achievable and beneficial for the city’s residents. Pramono emphasized, “During the campaign and the problem-gathering, we never promised anything that could not be done. It is indeed always something that we can do. it is indeed our homework.
Leading the transition team, Ima Mahdiah, assured the public that the team is diligently working on a seamless handover of power and the immediate implementation of priority programs upon inauguration. “At this time,the transition team is focusing on preparing concrete steps to be carried out immediately after the governor and deputy governor’s inauguration,” she explained on January 22,2025.
