Controversy ensued due to the scorching heat and insufficient preparation, and this was because delegations from major countries left the camp one after another. In this situation, Samsung is contributing to the event management by expanding its support.
According to the Jamboree Organizing Committee on the 5th, British, American and Singaporean personnel who participated in the Jamboree in Saemangeum, Buan-gun, Jeollabuk-do decided to retire early. Other countries, including Germany and Belgium, are said to be considering withdrawal.
Originally, the Jamboree was scheduled to run until the 12th, but faced a crisis as multiple participating countries decided to leave. This is because patients with thermal fever appeared one after another due to the heatwave, and basic conditions such as meals and toilets were poor.
The World Federation of Scouts (WOSM) said, “We requested the Korean organizers to consider a plan to finish the event earlier than planned and support the participants until they leave the country.”

Aside from this, Samsung is putting its heart and soul into ensuring that the Jamboree can be finished well. After delivering a total of 200,000 ion drinks and vitamin drinks through the Korean Red Cross on the 4th, they decided to provide medical staff and simple toilets.
On this day, Samsung announced, “To ensure that the Jamboree participants can work in a healthy way, Samsung Medical Center will dispatch a total of 11 medical staff, including 5 doctors, 4 nurses and 2 support personnel, to the site.”
Considering that most of them are teenagers, this medical support group included pediatric specialists such as pediatric specialists. It was also decided to send a medical bus and an ambulance equipped with emergency medicine. Medical staff at Samsung Seoul Hospital plan to start treatment activities as soon as they arrive at the scene.
Samsung C&T decided to provide 15 sets of air-conditioned simple toilets, 7 water cannons, and 5 generators at the venue.
Meanwhile, Samsung has shown an active attitude by donating money and goods and supporting restoration at domestic and overseas sites. Since 1995, donations to overcome large-scale disasters and disasters that have occurred in Korea amount to 110 billion won.
