The Japanese newspaper “Nikkei” reported today, Wednesday, that Japan and Saudi Arabia are seeking joint investments in the field of rare earth minerals.

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman are expected to agree on Sunday on a joint investment to develop rare earth mineral resources.

Japan will also help accelerate the development of resources already being mined in Saudi Arabia, such as copper, iron and zinc, according to Archyde.com.
