It is important to maintain peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait, said Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi at a meeting in Tokyo on Friday. The day before, five missiles fell in Japan’s exclusive economic zone during maneuvers by the People’s Liberation Army in the waters off Taiwan.
