Japan has opened its borders to tourists following being closed for more than two years due to the spread of Covid-19.
Many countries have also restored visa-free travel, which had been provided to many countries following the lifting of the Covid-19 restrictions. In addition, Japan’s Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said that it is possible to overcome the country’s economic crisis and restore the yen’s sharp decline through domestic tourism revenue.

Japan has announced that it has lifted all major restrictions, including limiting the number of tourists to 50,000. Also, the restriction that tourists can visit only as part of tourist groups has also been removed. The Prime Minister said that the influx of tourists will be a relief to Japan’s tourism sector, which has been devastated by the spread of Covid-19, and is expected to generate 34.5 billion dollars in revenue by the end of the year.
