The Japanese Nissan Motor Company, a leading manufacturer and developer of automobiles, has announced a recall campaign for about 1,380,000 vehicles sold in the markets of Europe, the United States and Japan.
And the German news agency (DPA) quoted a spokeswoman for Nissan Motor as saying that the cars that decided to recall include the Note, Kicks, Serena and Leaf models.
The spokeswoman added that the recall was due to technical defects, including a sudden increase in the car’s speed after leaving the control of the traffic lane control system, and an interruption in the electrical circuit, which could lead to the car stopping while driving.
And the Bloomberg news agency on Friday quoted a spokeswoman for the company as saying that no accidents had been reported due to technical problems.
Nissan said it would recall 6,434 Note Auras in Japan due to a right-hand headlight problem.
The company’s share price fell by 2.1% in the Tokyo Stock Exchange trading on Friday. Despite this, the share price has increased by 33% since the beginning of this year.
Earlier, the Japanese Yomiuri newspaper reported that Nissan plans to invest about $720 million in the electric car maker Ampere, a subsidiary of its French ally Renault.
