Various Western anime popularity rankings were shared on a popular comment board in Japan, showing that the series Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru (My Dress-Up Darling) has been widely received by the international community. The first of them is him “Karma & Poll Ranking” from the subreddit r/anime for the fifth week of the Winter-2022 season (January-March). The series got the third position in this weekly ranking.
The second is the weekly ranking of Anime Trendingbut for the fourth week of the season (the one on the fifth is still counting votes). In this list, the series got the first position, surpassing Shingeki no Kyojin: The Final Season Part 2 Y Kimetsu no Yaiba: Yuukaku-hen.
Also, from this same source, the lists corresponding to “Best Female Character of the Week” Y “Best Male Character of the Week“, both for the fourth week of the season. Marin Kitagawa Y Wakana Gojou got the first positions, respectively.

The Serie Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru has been broadcast since January 8 and is confirmed with twelve episodes, while the platforms Crunchyroll Y Funimation are responsible for its distribution in the West, also with a dubbing into Latin Spanish. For his part, Fukuda publishes the manga in the magazine Young Gangan from the publisher Square Enix since January 2018. The publisher published the seventh compilation volume in April 2021, followed by the eighth on October 25 in Japan.
Sinopsis de Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru
Engrossed in the family business of traditional doll making, Wakana Gojou is a reserved first-year high school student with no friends. With the painful memory of a childhood friend’s disdain for his interest, Gojou can’t relate to his classmates and his hobbies, causing him to isolate himself. Gojou has not yet perfected the making of the dolls’ faces, but he is exceptionally skilled at making his clothes. His skill with the sewing machine is soon discovered by his beautiful classmate Marin Kitagawa, whose boldness and honesty Gojou both admires and envies. She instantly shares his own hobby with Gojou: he likes to dress up as erotic video game characters.
However, Kitagawa does not know how to sew her own suits, which leads her to seek Gojou’s expertise. Being drawn into the lovely girl’s endless adventures related to cosplay, Ella Kitagawa becomes the first friend of hers who fully accepts her. Thus, although they are polar opposites, their relationship slowly flourishes thanks to her ability to help each other in the intricate world of cosplay.
