Japanese stock indices rise in the morning trading session

Japanese stock indexes rose in the morning trading session on the Tokyo Stock Exchange on Monday.

The Nikkei index, which is composed of 225 shares, increased 314.15 points, or 1.11%, to reach 28,528.90 points in the morning session at 11:30 am local time (0:30 GMT).

The broader Topix index also added 12.52 points, or 0.64%, to reach 1978.15.
