Jawazat System: Mandatory Fingerprint Registration for Expatriates in Saudi Arabia

Jeddah ∙ All expatriates over the age of six in Saudi Arabia have been instructed to register their family members’ fingerprints in the Jawazat system. All expatriates and their dependents in Saudi Arabia must be fingerprinted at Jawazat offices.

Jawazat has also suggested that if there is a big difference in the appearance of the persons, the photo on the iqama should be changed. The Directorate of Passports added that fingerprinting of expatriates and their dependents is a basic condition for implementation of Jawasat services.
