JAY-Z Fights Back Against Anonymous Accusations
Shawn “JAY-Z” Carter has fiercely denied anonymous allegations levied against him, describing them as “heinous” and demanding a criminal complaint be filed instead.
Carter’s legal team recently filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit, arguing that the plaintiff’s anonymity must be lifted so he can mount a transparent defense against the “false claim.”
Seeking Transparency
Attorney Alex Spiro, representing Carter, emphasized in the motion the crucial need for transparency, stating that the accuser, identified only as “Jane Doe,” should be named so that Carter can properly address the allegations.
Spiro further asserts that the plaintiff’s legal team, led by attorney Tony Buzbee, has not provided any affidavit or specific factual information to justify the anonymity or the lawsuit itself. This lack of substantiation fuels Carter’s belief that the case is baseless.
History of Similar Accusations
Spiro, in a pointed move, painted Buzbee as someone with a history of pursuing large settlements from celebrities, high-net-worth individuals, and entities connected to Sean Combs.
The motion goes further, alleging that Buzbee has a pattern of making “false claims of misconduct” and targeting those who he believes will quickly settle rather than face public scrutiny. This lawsuit, the motion suggests, is just “retaliation against the rare target who doesn’t pay up.”
Denial and Countersuit Request
Carter, through his legal team, has vehemently denied the allegations. On Sunday, he released a statement imploring the accuser to file a criminal complaint instead of a civil lawsuit, emphasizing the severity of the claims.
“These allegations are so heinous that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil lawsuit! Anyone who commits such a crime against a minor should be locked up, don’t you agree? If that were the case, these alleged victims would have deserved real justice.”
Carter’s motion also argues that it is unfair for him to be forced to defend himself publicly against an accuser shrouded in anonymity.
Attempts to Silence Carter’s Defense
On December 6, Buzbee filed a motion for a temporary restraining order against Carter’s attorneys. This request, intended to silence Carter’s legal defense, was ultimately denied by the presiding judge.

Given JAY-Z’s strong denial and the accusations of a pattern of behavior from the opposing counsel, do you think it’s fair to the public and to both parties involved to proceed with this lawsuit while the accuser remains anonymous?
