Jayden Struble: Rising Star of the NHL Defensive Brigade

Since his arrival on the scene, Jayden Struble has demonstrated that he has all the assets to establish himself within a National League defensive brigade. Number 47 performs all the right things, without fluffand with great rigor and confidence.

Pay close attention to how Struble positioned his torso and legs to contain Thompson and prevent him from threading the needle. It’s art!

Let’s be serious for a moment: Struble no longer deserves to return to the Laval Rocket. He is an NHL player, there is no longer any doubt, and he has certainly surpassed a few defenders in the Habs hierarchy.

Jordan Harris has every reason in the world to be nervous…he’s looking out for the infirmary at the moment. When David Savard returns, the dominoes will begin to fall and we will know more exactly where Struble is. And with this quality depth on defense, Kent Hughes could move a Matheson or Kovacevic.

As for Sheriff Gustav Lindström, a right-hander who plays a very honest game, could still suffer…
