JBL announces new Tour Pro 2 earbuds with amazing charging case

The Tour Pro 2 charging case has a 1.45-inch LED touchscreen that allows you to control the headphones and change their settings without having to go through a possible mobile device application.

In the crowded true wireless headphones market, how do you stand out from the competition? JBL has come up with an idea with its Tour Pro 2. These will come with an original charging case, featuring a 1.45-inch touchscreen. It is possible to scroll through several different displays to find out the battery level of the headphones, receive calls, display messages, control music playback and choose the different modes of active noise reduction (ANC).

This allows you to do without a control app, which can be an advantage if you use the headphones with your computer (PC or Mac). On the other hand, the interest is more questionable if you are equipped with a connected watch, or if you have your smartphone constantly at hand.

The Tour Pro 2 are equipped with 10mm speakers to improve bass reproduction, a Bluetooth 5.3 interface, LE Audio compatible, a total of six microphones and active, hybrid and adaptive noise reduction . During a conversation, an advanced voice recognition system reacts to your voice, automatically pausing the music and activating Ambient Aware mode. JBL offers an ear canal test and the creation of a personalized audio profile (Personi-fi 2.0). The manufacturer announces a total autonomy of 40 hours (10 hours for the headphones and 30 hours for the charging box), but does not indicate whether this value takes into account the ANC.

JBL is also launching a new headset, dubbed Tour One M2. This circum-aural model features active noise reduction, a Bluetooth 5.3 interface and offers a maximum battery life of 50 hours (30 hours with ANC in action).

The JBL Tour Pro 2 headphones and the JBL Tour One M2 headphones will be available from January 2023, priced respectively at 249 euros and 299 euros.
