For the annual ranking, JD Power surveys owners of three-year-old cars. They rate the quality and attractiveness of their vehicles, as well as various features and technologies. 184 specific areas are assessed in nine major categories, from the assistance systems to the driving experience and operating concept to the interior and powertrain. While the industry average is 186 problems per 100 vehicles, Lexus also has the most reliable model with the RX. With an index value of 111, the SUV has the most satisfied customers, and no vehicle has fewer problems following three years of ownership. (awm)
