Jeddah- Malayalam Toast Masters Club Jeddah is about to complete a decade and a half. The club is celebrating its fourteenth birthday on March 17. The Malayalam Toastmasters Club was born for the first time in the training circle of the largest speech art in Loth when a few people formed a club to preserve the great beauty of the mother tongue from the Malayalis of this grandmother’s land. From its inception till today, the members of the Jeddah Malayalam Club have striven to preserve its traditional glory.
DTM Rasheed Ali, the founding president of the Malayalam Club, who co-ordinated such an idea 14 years ago when no modern new media was in vogue, along with the strong support of Sameer Kunnan, PM Mainkutty, Shahid Malail, KC Abubakar, Assign Illikal, Basheer Ambalavan, Saji Kuryakos, Ashraf Meleveetil, Roy Mathew who later strongly promoted the Jeddah Malayalam Club before the Malayali community and many others will be remembered with gratitude on this occasion. We are looking for everyone’s cooperation to keep this lamp alive in the days to come and hold on to our mother Malayalam and the art of speech.
