Awarded at Kozhikode Malabar Film Directors Club Documentary and Short Film Festival for the short film ‘Thedi’ which brings the viewer to one of the pains of expatriate life and expatriate life. The second Best Second Pravasi Short Film Award was won at the festival.
One of the things that always worries the minds of most expatriates is that they have to die suddenly during their expatriate life and have to bury the dead body there with technical thread garlands and so on. This is the theme of Muhsin Kalikav’s short film ‘Thedi’. Director Muhsin Kalikav himself moved the camera.
Screenplay-Tushara Shihab, Music-Abdul Ahad Ayyar, Editing-Riyaz Mundengara. Producer Muhammad Shihab Aiyaril is the main cast. The three-day long festival has concluded. Prem Kumar, Vice-Chairman of the Film Academy, was the chief guest at the concluding session. Stanley Kannambara, who also starred in the film, received the award from Prem Kumar.
