Actor Jeon Seung-bin was sent to the prosecution on charges of assaulting his ex-wife Hong In-young, and his agency denied the allegations.
On the 29th, Star Hue Entertainment, the agency of Hong In-young, said, “First, Seung-bin Jeon was not at home on the day Hong In-young claimed that he was assaulted. Evidence that there was no assault or abusive language had already been submitted to the police investigation stage. This case has been sent to the prosecution and is under investigation, so please refrain from making speculative reports. Actor Jeon Seung-bin and his agency believe that the truth will come out clearly in the prosecution’s investigation.”
Actress Hong In-young recently filed a complaint against her ex-husband Jeon Seung-bin to the Gyeonggi Ilsan Eastern Police Station on charges of domestic violence, etc.
Jeon Seung-bin is accused of swearing and using abusive language while arguing with Hong In-young at his home in March 2019. He is also accused of mocking Hong In-young by strangling her in November of the same year. Her Hong In-young is reported to have alleged that her Jeon Seung-bin had slapped her in the cheek and head to the point of beating or fainting for two hours, including grabbing her own hair and dragging her.
The couple got married in May 2016, but broke up in April 2020.
After divorce from Hong In-young, Jeon Seung-bin remarried to Shim Eun-jin, a former Baby Vox who met through MBC’s daily drama ‘Bad Love’ last year. Immediately after the announcement of the marriage, suspicions of an affair were raised over the timing of the couple’s dating, but Jeon Seung-bin explained, “We started dating after the divorce.”
The two recently went on a belated honeymoon. While enjoying a sweet honeymoon in France, Seung-bin Jeon got caught up in assault allegations and received unexpected attention.
