The creators of the “Conversations (un)wygodne” program announce the format as inspiring conversations Mariusz Szczygieł with outstanding personalities from the world of culture and art. The interviews take place in Wrzeń Świat – a bookstore and café of the Instytut Reportażu Foundation, whose chairman of the board is Szczygieł.

The first guest on the TVP Info program was Jerzy Stuhr, an outstanding theater and film actor, director and teacher. Known for his roles as Lutek in “The Master”, Filip in “The Amateur”, Maks in “Seksmisja”, Commissioner Ryba in “Kiler” and finally the donkey in “Shrek”.
In October 2022, Jerzy Stuhr became famous due to a collision in which he hit a motorcyclist. He had approximately 0.7 per mille of alcohol in his body. The court convicted the actor of driving under the influence of alcohol and found him guilty of causing an accident – Stuhr’s driving license was suspended and he was banned from driving for three years.
Now Jerzy Stuhr returns to the stage after a break caused by health problems. We will see him in the play “Geniusz” at the Polonia Theater, where he not only acts but also directs. In reference to the play, the actor returned to the times of political persecution. – When it was the time of vetting in Poland, I also fought for my friends at the drama school so that they would not be harassed – he emphasized on the air.
— We paid a personal price for becoming artists. I’m definitely closest to this film – he commented on his participation in Krzysztof Kieślowski’s “Amateur”. “You don’t give up,” Szczygieł said.
The conversation also brought up the topic of Stuhr’s cancer. — When you were in the hospital and there was a medical round, you apparently took off your slippers and put on shoes, is that true? – asked the presenter. — Yes, during the first illness, later they were more bedridden. I always waited for the doctor in his jacket in the morning. I didn’t allow myself to think about it [o chorobie — red.]. I didn’t give up.
— It just so happened that my daughter was pregnant and I got sick, and I thought: Damn, I have to wait for this baby to be born. When my granddaughter was born, I left the hospital. That’s what I assumed… And when I got off the plane in Rome, I thought I was going to faint. I weighed 62 kg – he reported his return from the hospital and arrival at the international film set. – If something happened to me, I don’t know if I would have the strength to fight – he said on TVP Info.
-What is failure? – was one of the last questions. – Well, when they took away my driving license… – replied Stuhr. — Now I would like you to repeat this educational sentence: “You must not drive under the influence of alcohol.”
Jerzy Stuhr repeated this sentence, and Mariusz Szczygieł applauded him. – But also strange, because in Italy you can – added the actor. – But we are in Central Europe… – Szczygieł countered. “Yes, yes…” came the reply.
