After Jesse Jane made her debut in the porn film ‘Beat the Devil’ in 2003, her career took off. Jane was best known for her work in the ‘Pirates’ film series. The producer – Digital Playground – spent 1 million dollars, about 921,000 euros, on the first film in 2005 and 8 million dollars (+/- 7.4 million euros) on the sequel in 2007, ‘Pirates II: Stagnetti’s Revenge’ . It became the most expensive porn film ever, and these are remarkable sums compared to the industry’s low budget for film costs. “She was a performer in an era when adult films were seen all over the world and promotions were unseen,” said Brian Gross, a publicist for the porn industry.
