Mumbai: A special CBI court has acquitted actor Sooraj Pancholi, who is accused in the case related to Bollywood actress Jia Khan’s suicide. The court acquitted Jia Khan’s boyfriend Sooraj Pancholi for lack of evidence.
On June 3, 2013, Jiah Khan was found hanging dead at her residence in Mumbai. Mother Rabia Khan’s allegation is that she killed her daughter.
Sooraj is the son of Bollywood stars Aditya Pancholia and Zareena Wahab. Rabia Khan said that she will continue her legal battle to get justice for her daughter. Sooraj Pancholi, who was arrested following the death of Jia Khan, was later released on bail.
