Kaliningrad Avtotor began producing Chinese JMC cars without nameplates
Chinese JMC cars began to roll off the Avtotor assembly line without logos. This is reported by Telegram channel “Autostream”. The trucks now have no emblems at all. As for the pickup trucks of this brand, upon closer inspection you can still notice a molding that imitates the brand logo. However, the outline is barely visible, and there is a chrome lettering on the steering wheel.
Apparently, they decided to carefully disguise the ownership of the cars produced at the Russian plant due to the Chinese company’s concerns related to Western sanctions. Previously, a manufacturer from the Middle Kingdom sent a request to the Russian company demanding not to sell cars under the Chinese brand in the Russian Federation. The line of manufactured JMC models currently includes Carrying and Conquer trucks, as well as the Vigus pickup truck with a frame structure. The production of cars of this brand started last summer.
