JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – James Madison track & field saw a pair of top-10 program marks as the team wrapped up its first outdoor meet of the season on Saturday evening at North Florida’s Bob Hayes Invitational.
In the 4×100-meter relay, the quartet of juniors Jordyn Henderson, Kaia Putman, Virginia Keysand senior Holly Mpassy secured silver with a 45.88 effort, which ties for fifth in the JMU record book.
Later, Keys, freshman Esther-Saint Germainsophomore Kadence Wilson and Mpassy finished runner-up in the 4×400-meter relay in 3:44.06. The performance is good for sixth in program history and is currently second in the Sun Belt Conference behind Georgia State’s 3:42.84.
Elsewhere on the track, Putman registered a PR of 24.54 in the 200-meter dash for first and a personal-best 12.03 for fourth in the 100-meter dash. Meanwhile, Mpassy’s 24.62 clip in the 200-meter dash was also a personal best. Freshman Alayna Gifford finished sixth in the 400-meter dash in 1:01.10.
