Joanna Donnelly Wants to Do Lifts on DWTS Finale

Despite being eliminated from Dancing with the⁢ Stars on Sunday, meteorologist Joanna‍ Donnelly is not ready to wave goodbye ⁣to the dance ⁣floor just yet. The ⁢popular contestant has confirmed her plans ​to return for‌ the‍ season ⁢finale, fueled by a desire to finally execute the one dance move that‌ has eluded her throughout her time on the ‌show: the lift.

A Lifeless Farewell?

“I’ve just realised I didn’t get to do any lifts!” ⁤Donnelly shared with RTÉ Entertainment following the dance-off result.”I’ve been shortchanged!” Fortunately for​ Donnelly,her professional dance ⁤partner Maciej Zięba was rapid‌ to remind her that there⁣ is still an chance. ⁢”There ‍is ⁣a group dance in ‍the season‌ finale where all the contestants return, so there is time yet,” he explained.

While Donnelly​ expressed ⁣a touch of regret at not making⁣ it to the final stages, she remains positive about her ​journey on the show. “I⁤ did get better⁣ every‌ week,” she said.‌ “It would have ⁣been lovely‌ to stay to the ‍end, but you know…”

Dancing‌ On: A⁢ Lasting Bond

Donnelly views her time on DWTS ⁤as a bonus and is incredibly grateful for the experience. She‍ has formed a strong bond with zięba,‍ who she describes as‌ a fantastic friend.‌ “We had such a good time,” ⁤she‌ said ‌enthusiastically. ​“I​ think⁣ out of everybody​ in the⁤ show,we had the best. We really did.”

Donnelly’s enthusiasm ⁣for the show remains high, and she plans to cheer on her fellow contestants as a ⁢member of the audience in the ⁢coming weeks. She also shared her hopes for other Met Éireann colleagues⁢ to join the next season, jokingly recommending Gerry Murphy,⁣ who she said showed off his “Quickstep kicks” with confidence during a rehearsal.
