Brazilian football lost one of its excellent defenders on Wednesday. After 18 seasons, Joao Miranda has announced his retirement.
The former international (57 caps) notably went through Sochaux, Sao Paulo, Inter Milan and Atlético de Madrid. It was with the Colchoneros that he gleaned a Europa League and a European Supercup (2012), as well as a Spanish league title and a Spanish Supercup (2014). With Brazil, he won the Confederations Cup (2009) and the Copa America (2019).
