Joc Pederson deal San Francisco Giants

Outfielder Joc Pederson and the reigning NL Western champion San Francisco Giants have reached an agreement, a source told MLB.com’s Jon Paul Morosi on Wednesday. The team has not confirmed the move.

The deal would be for one season and $6 million, MLB Network contributor Jon Heyman reported.

Pederson finished 2021 on a high note, becoming just the ninth player in history to win the World Series in consecutive years with different teams. He helped the Braves win their first title since 1995, hitting three home runs in the NLDS once morest the Brewers, including two as a pinch hitter. Pederson was also a key player in the clubhouse. In 2020, he won the World Series with the Dodgers.

In 137 regular-season games in 2021 with the Cubs and Braves, the 29-year-old left-handed slugger hit .238/.310/.422 (93 OPS+) with 18 home runs and 61 RBIs. He had signed a one-year deal with Chicago in February and was traded to the Braves on July 15.
