“This is a big step for the organization and a big step for the sport,” BKFC founder and president David Feldman said. Massachusetts natives provided some of the card’s most memorable performances. Billerica featherweight Jake “The Gorilla” Pilla delivered a dominant second-round TKO victory over Angel Colon. Pilla used his length and kept a fast pace, targeting Colon’s body before sealing the win. Following the victory, Pilla dedicated the performance to his late father. “This was everything I dreamed about,” Pilla said. “It was meant to be.”
In the lightweight division, Abington’s Peter Barrett brought relentless pressure against Elijah Harris. Barrett fought with his foot on the accelerator, landing nine knockdowns before the referee stopped the contest 55 seconds into the third round. For Barrett, who once worked security at Fenway Park, the milestone carried immense personal weight. “Outside of my son being born, this is probably the top moment of my life,” Barrett noted.
