Sachin’s record will be weighed here ????, dominance that no one can even touch ????; Isn’t it the month of ‘Veranna’…

England superstar Joe Root scored another century in Test cricket. Root scored another century in the first match of the Ashes series at Edgbaston.

Root scored his 30th career century against Australia. The stalwart of the Fab Four is the second player to score the most centuries in the Test format among active cricketers. Root is just one century short of another Fab Four superstar, Steve Smith.

At the end of England’s innings, Root scored 118 runs from 152 balls with seven fours and four sixes.

Root brought out a performance that evoked England’s style of attacking cricket. Root played many of his trademark shots against Aussie bowlers. With a reverse sweep and a ramp shot, the route provided a feast for the Edgbaston fans.

Root has played 62 innings till 2021 and scored 3,299 runs at an average of 58.91. Nine half-centuries and 13 centuries will be included. 228 is the highest score.

The extent of the modern day great’s dominance is evident when you consider that no batsman has managed to score more than 2,000 runs or seven centuries during this period.

While Virat Kohli is likely to break Sachin Tendulkar’s hundred century record, Root is most likely to break the Test runs record.

At the age of 32, he crossed the mark of 11,000 runs. Root’s achievement came after he scored a half-century in the Test against Ireland. It is estimated that Sachin Tendulkar’s record will be broken by Root, who has cricket left for a long time.

Root has currently scored 11,122 runs at an average of 50.78 from 131 matches. 30 century and 58 century will be included in this.
