It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of John McGhie on December 23, 2024, at the age of 92. John was a beloved husband,father,grandfather,and great-grandfather,leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. John’s marriage to Nancy (née McPhee) spanned over seven decades, a testament to their enduring bond. He was a devoted father to Linda (Dave Brejak) and John, and a doting “Papa” to his grandchildren: Derek (Jamie), Laurie (Jeff), Scott, Sean, Samantha, Leesa (Bill), and Mitchell. His great-grandchildren, Will, Emma, Iris, jax, and Owen, brought him immeasurable joy. John is also survived by his brother, David, and fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews in Scotland: Jeanette, George, and Michelle. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Bella McGhie, and his grandson, Ryan. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
