Chiba Jets announced today that John Patrick has been appointed as the new head coach.
Patrick, now 54 years old and from the United States, is a commander associated with Japan who has served as head coach at Toyota Motor Alvark (now Alvark Tokyo) during the JBL era. In the 2005-06 season, when he commanded Alvark, he led the club to the league title and won the Coach of the Year award during his first year in office. Returning to Germany, where he used to spend the following 2006-07 season, he has won the league title and won the Coach of the Year five times.
