Jon Meyer introduces a new Kontakt library, a modern take on the classic felt piano sound.
Postfelt offers 8 layers of sounds to explore, going beyond traditional piano sounds.
Last spring I “retired” my Meyer felt piano and started resampling my treasured Kawai upright for better dynamics and realism. I added a clean non-felt mic signal and blended it with a traditional felt tone for greater tonal flexibility. In the Layers section, Pitch, Reverse, Detune, and Plucked layers have been added.
PostFelt’s extensive “tuning palette” includes effects such as reverb, delay, chorus, pitch modulation, tape effects, and an effects layer for plucking piano strings with a guitar pick for subtle or intense attack Effect.
PostFelt is available for Kontakt 6.7.1 or later for a limited time special of $39 (was $59). Meyer Felt users can upgrade for free with their Pulse account.
