For the first time since 2020, the Stade Lavallois boxer will compete in a fight far from Espace Mayenne. At the Caen Sports Palace, El Gitano will face the Pole Michal Lesniak : “he doesn’t look like me at all, he doesn’t have the same boxing style as me at all” specifies Jordy Weiss. Lesniak, a 32-year-old puncher who likes to advance in the ring.
A preparation in England
It is once again in England that Jordy Weiss has prepared for this important deadline. The English are indeed the masters of the Weiss support discipline: “they really have this boxing culture which is different from us, yet it is close. I have to go there to be ready and then, I’m in my world, I’m in my bubble. I am 100% focused whereas in Mayenne, there are always friends who call you to go right or left. In England, I’m really into my preparation.“
Around 300 Mayenne supporters will travel to Caen to encourage their favorite and hope to see Jordy Weiss retain his beautiful belt.
