The accident resulted in the death of Mathew John (35) and Jins John (30), both of whom were Manimala natives. Witnesses claim that the scooter hit the rear of the Innova after it suddenly braked. It was also alleged that the police attempted to protect Jose K Mani’s son during the accident.

Kottayam: The license of KM Mani Jr., son of Jose K Mani, will be canceled in connection with the death of two people in a car accident. Action for this has been initiated by the Department of Motor Vehicles. As part of this, the officials of the Motor Vehicle Department conducted preliminary data collection.
After receiving the police report, the process of canceling the license will be taken. The motor vehicle department said that action will be taken within a week. The Department of Motor Vehicles has confirmed that Jose K Mani’s son has a license.
