In July 2020, the then host of the morning of “Mucho Gusto”, Jose Miguel Vinuela, made a “joke” and cut the hair of the cameraman, José Miranda, without his consent. This episode brought a shower of criticism to Viñuela, who ended up losing his job.

According to La Segunda, which was collected by Cooperative, the cameraman sued the animator of “Tal Cual” for damages. This Wednesday, the 23rd Civil Court of Santiago reached a resolution and ordered José Miguel Viñuela to pay compensation.

This compensation reaches 17 million pesos. “It is found that the defendant recklessly, and therefore negligently, cut the plaintiff’s hair, attributing it to humor,” the ruling detailed.

Similarly, they pointed out that Viñuela “should have respected the dignity of the person with whom he dealt, without the humorous tinge of his way of conducting himself on television justifying what he did.”

Previously, the animator paid Miranda a payment of $350,000 pesos, which was considered by the Court as “a meager amount for the amount of damage caused.”

Along with this, last March, the cameraman reached an agreement with Mega, for which he was benefited by the payment of compensation of $10 million pesos.
