Jossi Wieler has been a theater and opera director for many years.
It is said regarding him that he is a researcher, a listener, an enlightener: Jossi Wieler, a theater and opera director for many years. He was also the successful director of the Stuttgart State Opera from 2011 to 2018. The Swiss has staged on many major stages since 1982. He is back in Hamburg for the first time in almost 25 years. Most recently, during Frank Baumbauer’s directorship, the award-winning performance of Elfriede Jelinek’s play “Wolken.Heim” was staged here, back in 1994, production of the year. So now Hamburg once more.
Jossi Wieler directs Virginia Woolf’s “Orlando”, in a stage version by Ralf Fiedler. The premiere will be at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus on January 26th and before that he will be a guest on “NDR Kultur à la carte”.
