Journalist Macedonian Villalobos Gallegosmedia director New Xhuncofiled a complaint for threats against Raciel Cabrera Garciatechnical secretary of the Municipal Government of Santo Domingo Tehuantepecon Oaxacahusband of the mayor Vilma Martinez Cortes.
The journalist filed his complaint with the Prosecutor’s Office of the Public Ministry of Tehuantepec in the Isthmus region, where he assured that the mayor’s husband has threatened him in Two occasions.
He indicated that the last time he was threatened, the official rebuked him, telling him that if he did not stop writing bad things about his wife, he would end up with a “shot in the forehead“.
“He told me not to mess with him or his wife and that he was going to shoot me and kill my daughters and my wife, because he already knows where I live and I told him that if he doesn’t want you to think of him and his wife, that they withdraw from politics since they are public figures and citizens will always give their opinion about it, whether for better or for worse,” he denounced.
After filing the complaint, journalists and media news media expressed their solidarity with Macedonio Villalobos and asked that they apply measures precautionary to protect the journalist’s life.
The journalist shared the complaint filed on his social networks and pointed out that he filed it for his physical integrity and for his family.
“There is the complaint of facts, for those who did not believe that he would do it, in fact there are already two times that he threatens me, the complaint is made for my family and for my physical integrity since I know that Raciel Cabrera García at any moment he is going to send someone either to hit me or to actually carry out his threat to kill me, he can do it since they have the money of the Tehuano people at their disposal, Raciel Cabrera Garcia and his wife, the Municipal President of Tehuantepec, Vilma Martínez Cortés”, he wrote.
