Despite the impression of proximity, the two stars remain very distant: “Jupiter and Venus will be very close visually but not in space, where they obviously keep a distance of about a billion kilometers”, explained Isabelle Ansseau, astronomer at the Center Ardenne Observatory, to Sudinfo.
”Venus is very close to the sun, so it is normal that it can easily reflect sunlight, and Jupiter is the biggest planet in the solar system.”, declares the astronomer to explain why the planets shine brighter than the other celestial bodies. “For comparison, Saturn is smaller in size and quite far away, so it reflects less light.”, she continues.
