An excuse that can be understood, given the very young age of the couple when it happened (they were only 19) but which was never digested for the singer: “If it had been up to me, I never would have done it. (…) Even today, it is one of the most distressing things I have experienced in my life“, she wrote. A revelation to which Justin Timberlake ended up reacting at the start of the week.

Contacted by the American magazine ET Online, he sent a press release through his agents. And the message is clear: the past is the past! “Justin wants to focus on his own family and is trying not to worry about Britney’s memoir. In recent years, Justin has tried to support Britney from a distance. They dated a long time ago, but he still has respect for her.”he first wrote, without really mentioning the abortion to which Britney Spears had alluded.

Or rather to push the singer to move towards the future, she who has just divorced Sam, her ex-boyfriend? “Justin and Jessica just want everyone to grow and evolve instead of continuing to bring up the past“, he wrote, referring to his wife Jessica Biel, who has shared his life since 2007 and with whom he had two little boys, Silas, 8 years old and Phinneas, 3 years old.
Britney Spears, for her part, could well respond to the singer on Instagram, where she has been spending a lot of time for many months. Separated from her two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, who live with their father Kevin Federline, and now divorced from the man who shared her life for 7 years, she seems to be diving back into her old demons…
