Speaking on SKAI 100.3 radio, he pointed out that 108 incidents of domestic violence were reported yesterday.
“On April 25, the five-digit number 10201 will be put into operation nationwide, through which parents and children will be able to report at any time incidents that happen at that time but also incidents that happen systematically in a certain neighborhood,” said Mr. Chrysochoidis.
He also announced that by the end of May, a mobile application will be launched, through which parents and children will be able to inform the police about something criminal that comes to their attention by filling in a form with all the necessary information.
Mr. Chrysochoidis reported that during yesterday 108 incidents of domestic violence were reported while 69 arrests were made through the spontaneous procedure.
Referring to juvenile delinquency, he emphasized that in just two months we had 700 arrests of young people.
Regarding the evaluation system, the minister admitted that so far there is no evaluation in the Police, announcing however that this will change radically and pointing out that measures will be taken for the police officers who are deemed unsuitable.
