Juveniles Arrested After Riding E-Motorcycles Inside Florida Target

Two juveniles were arrested and charged with felony criminal mischief after riding electric motorcycles through a Target store in Naples, Florida, causing an estimated $2,500 in property damage, disrupting shoppers, and performing burnouts near the entrance, according to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office.

Store employees and local law enforcement faced a chaotic scene as the riders disrupted normal business operations.

The Escalation at the Tarpon Bay Boulevard Target

According to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, the disturbance began when a group of juveniles arrived at the store on electric motorcycles, commonly known as e-motos. Investigators detailed how the youths escalated their disruption by riding mobility scooters intended for shoppers directly down the aisles.

The situation quickly deteriorated as the riders crashed into store fixtures, played explicit music, and directed profane comments at customers and staff. Security measures prompted their initial removal from the premises, but the enforcement did not deter the group.

Here is why that matters: authorities reported that several members of the group returned shortly afterward, driving their e-motos straight through the main entrance and deeper into the store. Outside the front doors, some of the riders performed burnouts against concrete posts, generating heavy smoke as afternoon customers attempted to enter the building.

Property Damage and Official Response

The reckless riding left distinct marks across the retail floor. Investigators documented black tire streaks embedded in the store’s carpet alongside extensive surface markings on the exterior concrete, bringing the total estimated property damage to $2,500.

“These boys destroyed property, disrupted business and put shoppers at risk,” Collier County Sheriff Kevin Rambosk stated following the investigation. “This type of reckless and criminal behavior simply won’t be tolerated in our community. They now will be held accountable and face the consequences of their actions.”

Following the review of store surveillance and witness accounts, deputies interviewed the juveniles on Monday in the presence of their parents. Both boys were subsequently taken into custody and charged with felony criminal mischief in connection with the property damage.
