Juventus determines the length of Di Maria’s absence

Juventus is missing the services of its new Argentine star, Angel Di Maria, for at least ten days, as a result of a left thigh injury during the first stage of the local football league against Sassuolo “3-0”, the club announced.
Juventus said, on its official website, that the 34-year-old Argentine winger underwent a radiological examination that revealed a minor injury to the adductor longus muscle of the left thigh, adding that his condition would be evaluated again within ten days.
The former French Paris Saint-Germain player made a wonderful first official match in the colors of Juventus, where he scored the first goal with a “on the fly” shot, and passed the ball for the third goal for Serbian Dusan Vlahovic, who was also the owner of the second goal in the meeting.
But the Argentine winger was forced to leave the field about half an hour before the end of the match, after feeling pain in his left thigh.
Di Maria will be away at least from the next two matches for Juventus in the local league against Sampdoria (August 22nd) and Rome 27 of it, at a time when local media talked about the possibility of his absence extending for a month.
Di Maria’s injury is another severe blow to coach Massimiliano Allegri’s team, who also lost the efforts of another French newcomer, returning to Turin again, Paul Pogba, who is expected to be absent for at least five weeks.
Pogba decided not to perform a knee surgery that would have excluded him from the Qatar World Cup scheduled for the end of this year, preferring to undergo conservative treatment.
Pogba, 29, suffered a severe injury to his right knee (meniscus) during the American pre-season tour, and he is expected to return to his new-old team in mid-September.
