Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has reiterated that the K Rail project will be implemented. He clarified his position on the Silver Line project while speaking at the business and investment meeting of the American regional conference of the Lok Kerala Sabha. If not today, K Rail will become a reality tomorrow. Chief Minister said that with the arrival of Vandebharat train, people have realized the need for high speed train. Vandebharat was very popular among the people of Kerala. Efforts are on to get central approval for the K-rail project. Some are trying to sabotage K Rail. There has been pressure on the central government not to grant permission for the Silver Line. That is why the Chief Minister stated that K-rail is not a reality now but the project will be implemented.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will speak at a function to be held at Time Square today at 3.30 Indian time as part of the American Regional Conference of the Lok Kerala Sabha. Apart from the Chief Minister, Finance Minister KN Balagopal, Assembly Speaker AN Shamseer, NORCA Vice Chairman P Sreeramakrishnan and Chief Secretary VP Joy are also participating in the conference.
The Chief Minister is meeting with Malayali investors in America, leading Malayali businessmen, IT experts, students and women entrepreneurs. Pinarayi Vijayan will leave for Havana, Cuba on the 14th. The Chief Minister will also attend various events in Havana on the 15th and 16th.
