“Kalashnikov” unveils a new experimental military uniform with unique specifications

Russia – The Kalashnikov company revealed a new military uniform, used in close combat during movement to long distances, and whose components are replaceable.

The Kalashnikov subsidiary, Touch Mash, conducted initial tests of the military uniform, which it called “Voevoda-KSS.”

A report published by “Kalashnikov” stated that, following the completion of all necessary tests, including field tests in the special military operation area, “Voevoda” will become part of the Russian soldier’s military uniform, where the optimal combination of armored protection and lightness can be achieved. The new uniform has high levels of temperature control and comfort, and is used in conditions of firefights and intense military operations, as well as in difficult weather conditions and during movement over long distances.

The “Voevoda” uniform contains many bags, a first aid kit, communication devices, a knife, a set of survival tools, a flashlight, a light weapon, and a set of ammunition, including grenades. The bags and components of the military uniform can be diversified depending on the tasks assigned to the soldier or officer. It can also be replaced with other ingredients, and can be used with the organic armored vests that soldiers and officers used to wear.

Journalist and retired Colonel Victor Baranets said that any military uniform must make the load carried by the soldier lighter because the speed of movement on the battlefield can save his life. In addition, it must be comfortable and not interfere with the fighter performing any tasks while moving, standing still, crawling, or when crossing heavy snow and water obstacles.
