Russian Anna Kalinskaya defeated Belarusian Victoria Azarenka in the third round of the tennis tournament in Charleston (USA). The match lasted 1 hour 59 minutes and ended with a score of 6:4, 7:6 (7:5) in favor of the Russian.
In the quarterfinals, 24-year-old Kalinskaya will play the winner of the match between American Caroline Doulhide and Tunisian athlete Ons Jaber.
Kalinskaya is ranked 70th in the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) ranking. In the previous match, she beat Ukrainian Angelina Kalinina. Charleston Open is a WTA 500 tournament with a prize pool of $780,000.
