Kamal Hassan obtains the golden visa for the United Arab Emirates

Over the past two years, the UAE has given Kollywood celebrities a golden visa from time to time. The Golden Visa is a long-term residency that allows foreigners to live and work in the UAE without the need for a national sponsor and provides full ownership of their business. The United Arab Emirates has now introduced the Golden Visa to Ulaganayagan Kamal Hassan.

Kamal Hassan posted a picture he posted: “I am honored to receive the golden visa for the United Arab Emirates. Residency and Foreign Affairs in Dubai. Thank you to the Dubai Film and Television Authority for supporting talents and creators.” (sic)

Earlier in December 2021, actor and director R Parthiepan became the first Tamil actor to be granted the Golden Visa to the United Arab Emirates. After veteran actor Nasir Rahman and director Venkat Prabhu recently, Kamal Hassan was the last to get the UAE Golden Visa. Actresses Amala Paul, Trisha and Rai Laxmi were also awarded the Golden Visa and were honored by the Government of Dubai earlier in January.
