Candidate Kang said, “When I became deputy prime minister for economy, hundreds of articles called ‘myth of high school graduation’ appeared in the media. Usually, it is academic fraud that inflates academic background, but this is the first time I have seen academic fraud that reduces academic background.” Candidate Dong-yeon Kim responded by saying, “I never said that I was a high school graduate Shinhwa.”
Then, when Candidate Kang asked, ‘Have you ever been prosecuted for assaulting a taxi driver in 1994?’
When Candidate Kang continued to ask, “Do you accept the deferral of prosecution?”, Candidate Kim expressed his discomfort by saying, “The taxi driver (to me) was punished for swearing, and I was given a suspension of prosecution.”
Candidate Kang continued, “During the military physical examination, my visual acuity was 0.04, but during the civil service examination, my eyesight suddenly improved. At that time, there would have been no LASIK surgery.” He attacked candidate Kim Dong-yeon.
Regarding the vision problem, after the discussion, Candidate Dong-yeon Kim’s side said, “There is no factual basis for the suspicions about candidate Kim Dong-yeon’s eyesight test results while in the military.” As a banker who is the head of a boy, he is a prosecutor with no possibility of intervening in so-called ‘back’ or any injustice.”
Meanwhile, all four candidates who participated in the debate completed their candidate registration at the Gyeonggi Election Commission on the same day.
