Insecurity is resurfacing in the urban commune of Kankan. On the evening of Friday November 17, 2023, around 6 p.m., a teacher was the victim of an armed attack.
Two young girls aged under 20 were shot by the attackers. “Yesterday after my revision sessions with my students at 6 p.m., I took my motorbike to return to my house, along the way I was followed by bandits, 3 of them on the motorbike. I had to go to the commune to pick up my lady and go home, right next to the stadium there is a corridor, that’s where the bandits first hit my motorbike. I was unbalanced, but I didn’t fall, then they gave me a second one and we fell together, I quickly got up and asked them: what’s the problem? They told me you didn’t see anything first, we’re going to kill you today. This is how I said that if it is because of my possessions, take them and leave me safe and sound. Automatically, they aimed their weapons at me, that’s when I took off running into a nearby courtyard. Immediately they fired 2 bullets, they found that the children were inside the yard playing, the bullets hit one on the buttocks and the other on the back,” explains Yacouba Condé, victim of this attack.
During this armed attack, the teacher said he lost many valuable objects. “They took my black Appache 160 motorcycle, my Samsung Android S8 phone, my computer, a sum of 500,000 fg, including all my documents.”
The latest news is that the lives of the two young girls are no longer in danger, because the beautiful ones have been removed from their bodies. They are bedridden at the Kankan regional hospital.
