Kannur – Mayil Kayaralam’s PK Priya (43) became India’s proud star by winning silver medals in the left and right competitions at the World Pancha Gusti Championship being held in Turkey. Priya won silver medals in the left and right hand events in the 40-and-over masters competition.

He was a member of Kayaralam Mecheri Evershine Sports and Arts Club, a well-known club in the district for panchagusti. Priya has been competing in panchagusti competitions since she was young and won the district panchagusti competition in 2017. A three-time national champion, Priya won a double medal in the national championship this year. Kayaralam is the daughter of OT Vasu and PK Sumathi of Thaikandi House. Husband: TK Pramod.
